Providing Services for Military Veterans

We Love Our Vets

American Legion Post 637 in Citrus Heights, CA brings hope, aid, and community to our vets. Whether you are young, old, disabled, or injured, we want you to know that we are here for you. Devoted to our cause, we offer the following services:

General Help for Veterans

Some of our veterans just need a helping hand. With our supportive, open community, we provide just that, as well as:

  • Benefit assistance

  • General health support

  • Personal support

Ceremonies for Veterans

We believe that the sacrifice of every veteran matters. That’s why we offer unserviceable flag services at local funeral homes, as well as memorial services for homeless veterans who have passed away. If you know of a veteran who has passed, please notify us immediately. Our services include:

  • Ceremonies for all homeless veterans who have passed
  • Working with American Legion Riders escort service to Dixon National Cemetery
  • General veteran ceremony services

Events and Activities

We organize events and activities within our community to honor our veterans. All military vets are welcome to attend free of charge. Our main events include our Memorial Day and Veteran’s Day ceremonies, and our presents in the Citrus Heights Red, White & Blue Parade. Our popular Veterans Picnic is hosted on the 3rd Saturday of August at Rusch Park and includes:

  • Free entertainment
  • Free entry

  • VA medical services
  • Veteran service groups
